Up until now, verifying part fit-up in a Model 9-500 was accomplished visually through the sight window in the clamp assembly. As specifications for weld “high-low” began to tighten, many of our customers found it advantageous to remove this window to check fit-up.
A quick-release kit is now available for the 9-500 to allow remote loading of the clamp assembly, providing an unobstructed, 360 degree view of the weld joint. Once fit-up is verified, the clamp is easily mounted onto the weld head and secured with two thumb screws. No tools are required. For high duty cycle applications, a second clamp assembly may be loaded, while the first is in use.
This kit is compatible with all Model 9-500 weld heads as well as all existing assemblies. No new tooling is required. It is supplied with the (high-duty cycle) Model 9-500C and is available as an option on the Model 9-500.
